Keep the Valentine’s Day spirit going by joining journalist and author Mary Calvi as she discusses her debut novel, Dear George, Dear Mary: A Novel of George Washington’s First Love. In this talk, Calvi will explore her research into the early romantic life of George Washington, particularly his relationship with heiress Mary Philipse. Discussing the documents that inspired her historical fiction novel, such as letters, journals, and biographies, Calvi reveals a part of Washington’s personality and life that is not often explored.

This talk will be followed by a Q&A and book signing with the author.
