Public Tours

We offer guided Museum Tours to the public FREE with admission on Fridays at 1pm, Saturdays at 12pm & 3pm and Sundays at 2pm.

NOTE: There will be no 3pm public tour on Saturday, 9/5. There will be no 12pm public tour on Saturday, 9/12.

Public tours are subject to last minute cancellations. There are no advanced registrations for public tours. Tickets must be purchased upon arrival.

Unfortunately, our elevator is currently subject to intermittent outages. Please take this into account when planning your visit while we work to address the problem.

Please call the Museum admissions desk during regular Museum hours at (212) 425-1778 or the restaurant at (212) 968-1776 for assistance with the use of our elevator, lift, and ramps. Our complex includes five historic interconnected buildings which are accessible by various means.

Tickets may be purchased upon arrival at the Museum's front desk, located on the 2nd floor at the 54 Pearl Street entrance.

Please note: There is no advanced ticket option. All tickets must be purchased upon arrival to the Museum. For advanced sales for large groups, please contact programs@frauncestavernmuseum.org.

Special Admission

The Museum offers $5 admission for the federally disabled and an attendant, with valid ID. We also offer a $40 Patriot Museum Membership for the federally disabled with a valid ID.

The Museum offers free admission through Museums for All to individuals and families presenting a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card and valid ID.

Visitor Guidelines

We are committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we ask visitors to follow our Visitor Guidelines. Fraunces Tavern Museum reserves the right to refuse or revoke admission to any visitor who violates this policy. Please review the guidelines below before you visit.

    • Interaction with staff and visitors must be cordial and respectful. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of threatening or offensive behavior will result in removal from the museum.

    • Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

    • Charitable solicitations, leafleting, petitioning, and picketing are prohibited.

    • Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the museum.

    • Restrooms are for museum visitors only.

  • To ensure the safety of our visitors, staff, and collections, the following items are prohibited:

    • Large backpacks and luggage can be left in gift shop, if needed. There are no lockers, so visitors must leave items at their own risk. Small backpacks are allowed but must be worn on your front or carried in your hand.

    • Food or Drink (other than water in a secure bottle or for medical reasons).

    • Writing utensils, except for pencils.

    • Weapons, including but not limited to firearms, knives, or other sharp objects, explosives, or any flammable, combustible or hazardous materials.

    • Any item staff deem to pose a risk to visitors, staff, or collections may be denied entry.

    • Pets, emotional support animals, and other non-service animals are not allowed. Only ADA-compliant service animals are permitted inside the Museum. They must remain leashed, harnessed, and under handler control.

    • Photography for personal, noncommercial use is allowed. Media, press and social media influencers must contact communications@frauncestavernmuseum.org before filming.

    • Flash photography, tripods, and selfie sticks are prohibited.

    • Do not touch objects, artwork, or cases.

    • Do not climb or step over any barriers in front of gallery displays.

    • Running, rough play, or disruptive behavior, such as using audio without headphones, yelling, and sitting on the floors is prohibited.

    • All visitors must be out of the galleries before the 5:00pm museum closure.

Museum staff have full discretion to enforce these policies.

Health and Safety

By visiting Fraunces Tavern Museum, you agree to follow all Museum guidelines and safety protocols. The Museum reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not comply with these protocols.

Any public space presents an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19. All visitors to Fraunces Tavern Museum do so at their own risk. Masks are available upon visitor request.
