America Walks Into a Bar

tavern week lecture.jpg

Presented by Christine Sismondo*

What do we lose when our bars are shuttered? These can seem like frivolous spaces, but they have played an important role in American history. In this lecture, Christine Sismondo will explore the role of bars across the country's history, including the colonial era, Prohibition, the 1960s, and today.

This lecture will take place using Zoom. Fill out the form below to register, and you will receive an email with a link to the lecture the afternoon of September 16.

Reach out to 2education@frauncestavernmuseum.org for more information.

Registration for this event is closed.

Watch the presentation on YouTube or listen to the recording on our Evening Lecture Archive.
