On Saturday, August 22, 10:00 am, there will be a Battle of Brooklyn reenactment at Long Meadow, Prospect Park, Brooklyn. This will be followed by the Maryland 400 commemoration at 12:00 pm at The Old Stone House, Brooklyn. RSVP for the Maryland 400 commemoration here.
Sons of the Revolution℠ in the State of New York, Inc., will be commemorating the Patriots who fought in the Battles of Brooklyn and New York 250 years ago with a reception and dinner on August 22, 2026. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Flag Gallery of Fraunces Tavern® Museum. Dinner will follow shortly thereafter, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Bissell Room of Fraunces Tavern® Restaurant.
On Sunday, August 23, 2026, 10 am-1 pm, Green-Wood Cemetery will have its annual Battle of Brooklyn celebration, The Battle of Brooklyn 250: The Meaning of Freedom. Tickets are strongly suggested. Stop by the Fraunces Tavern Museum table and participate in our activities at this event.
