New York City was occupied by the British for over seven years during the Revolutionary War. On November 25, 1783, the British filed onto their ships to leave for good and the War for Independence was finally over. Led by New York City licensed Tour Guide Fred Cookinham, this tour follows the footsteps of General Washington and his troops as they entered New York in triumph. Learn about the people and sites of New York and what it was like to be caught up in a revolution.

Tickets for both dates are SOLD OUT.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. You will receive a confirmation email with the starting location of the tour within 24 business hours. If you do not receive an email within this time frame, check your SPAM folder.

Frederick Cookinham has been a licensed New York City tour guide for 21 years.  He received his BA in American History at Cortland State and his MA at Brooklyn College.  He has led tours for the Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership, the New-York Historical Society, and many other groups.
