Path to Liberty: The Emergence of a Nation

$35.00

Path to Liberty: The Emergence of a Nation is the first volume in Fraunces Tavern Museum's newest catalog series. It documents the Museum's exhibition of the same title that spans three galleries and rotates annually to commemorate the 250th anniversaries of important events throughout the American Revolution. Volume I highlights the art, artifacts, letters, and maps from the Museum's permanent collection displayed in the first segment of the exhibition, from the Battles of Lexington and Concord in the spring of 1775 to the Battles of Trenton and Princeton in winter 1776. Also included in this segment is a deeper dive into the Museum's collection of orderly books, which capture the lived experiences of individual officers from both American and British camps, as well as the challenges of maintaining discipline among their soldiers throughout the war.
